Rooted in the proud legacy of higher education in journalism and mass communication that began in Nepal in 1976, the Central Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (CDJMC) at Tribhuvan University is the nation’s pioneering academic institution for advanced media studies. For five decades, we have been dedicated to producing high-quality academic and technical human resources, shaping the landscape of journalism and communication across the nation. Our graduates lead the media landscape today, working throughout Nepal's mainstream newsrooms and media industries, as well as serving as international correspondents.
