On Friday (September 27) CDJMC, in collaboration with the Learning Curve, successfully hosted a one-day intensive workshop at the Camera Building. The highlight of the event was a session titled "Buzz and Bots: PR in the Age of AI and Ethical AI," facilitated by Channa Fernandopulle, Head of Ad Factor, a prominent PR and advertising agency based in Sri Lanka.
During his inaugural speech, Acting Dean Prof. Dr. Dubinanda Dhakal highlighted the importance of regularly updating the syllabus to keep pace with changing times.
Before the session, a panel discussion focusing on the financial support systems in the media industry was moderated by senior journalist and media educator Binod Bhattarai. The panel featured insights from journalist Kuber Chalise, PR expert Saania Shah, and Channa Fernandopulle. The workshop attracted over 60 participants, including professionals from PR and advertising, as well as media students.
